Dear Delegates, find below some of the most frequently asked questions about Model United Nations of Malmö 2017. Hopefully these questions provide you with answers and give tips to a pleasant experience in MUNmö 2017. However do not hesitate to contact us for further information.   1. When and where will the MUNmö 2017 conference happen?

The Model United Nations of Malmö 2017 will take place from the 23rd until the 26th of November in Malmö, Sweden.

  1. How much is the conference fee for MUNmö 2017?

The conference fee for MUNmö 2017 is 550 SEK (60€).

  1. How many participants will there be at MUNmö 2017?

This number is not yet clear, as our Delegate Application will open up in September.

  1. How long will MUNmö 2017 conference be?

MUNmö 2017 will last four days in total. The first day will be for registration, preparation sessions and opening ceremony, followed with three days of sessions in committees, and ending with a General Assembly on Sunday.

  1. Is accommodation included in the conference fee? If not, what are my accommodation options?

Accommodation is not included in the conference fee. However, we have several options for the delegates to be accommodated. We are currently reserving an option of staying in the Student Union Building, yet this facility can only host approximately 16 participants.

Secondly, there is a delegate hosting system which will be introduced in a later stage of the application process and information will be shared via mail in an appropriate timeframe.

Thirdly, we have listed hostels and hotels in Malmö. More information to be found at Accommodation - MUNmö. This side will be updated as soon as our Logistic Team has all the necessary information.

A last resort could be to find a host or apartment in Malmö or the sourrounding on sides like or However, the Executive Board of MUNmö 2017 does not take any responsibility.

  1. What committees will MUNmö 2017 simulate?

MUNmö 2017 has four committees - The Eurpean Council; The United Nations Security Council (UNSC); The Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM);  and the Human Rights Council (HRC).

Each committee will have two respective topic, except for the UNSC. These topics will be announced right at the start of the conference and had been thoroughly chosen by the academic team of the Executive Board.

  1. To what airport should I fly when coming to MUNmö? In regards to this, has the conference established cooperation with airlines flying to the local airport?

There are two main options to fly to Malmö. First one is Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup Airport), which is very well connected with different airlines in- and outside of Europe, from there the delegates can take a train, which runs straight from the Airport and takes around 15 minutes (a little note here: as the immigration laws have emerged throughout the last months it is necessary to have a national ID on you, otherwise the security personnel and/or police will not let you enter into Sweden)

Second option is Malmö Airport - which has less inbound flights than Copenhagen, but serves different flight companies. MUNmö 2017 has not established a cooperation with any airlines. For more information, Getting to Malmö - MUNmö

  1. Are there other options to come to Malmö then flying?

Using the airplane might not always be the cheapest or most environmentally friendly option to get to Malmö. As the Executive Board is highly concerned about Mother Earth we appeal to your consciousness to consider the most sustainable option for your journey. On, and other sides you can find bus connections. Another possibility would be to use sides such as or trains.

  1. What does MUNmö 2017 Social Schedule look like?

We have prepared several entertainment programmes for our delegates. There is a city tour, delegates dinner, entertainment programme with music and a club evening for delegates. The information will be frequently updated and we have many treats to reveal - social activities for MUNmö 2017 will be guaranteed fun!

  1. What are 3 MUST SEE places in Malmö?

The three must see places are: (1) Turning Torso - the highest building in Scandinavia and an architectural masterpiece; (2) Malmöhus slott - a castle from 16th century;and (3)Möllevangstorget - a hub for social life and full of restaurants from different culinary cultures. You can also reach the beautiful Copenhagen in 15 minutes, while charming Lund is 10 minutes away!
